You're into the time slip

Ladies and gentlemen, children of all ages, it’s that time of the year again when you (or we, it’s relative really) flood, shock, and overwhelm yourself with caffeine for the sake of that much-coveted Starbucks 2011 Planner.

The first one is metal-inspired, the red one’s cover is made of velvet, and the last one has a wooden finish. The pages inside are still pretty much the same from 2009: two dates share a page with a space big enough for scribbling notes/appointments.

I had three planners since 2008, and the most used one was this year’s:

The 2009 edition I gave to Papa as a Christmas gift :)

I’m still less-than-half decided on getting this year’s edition. I’ve seen it already, and actually thankful that you only need 17 stickers to collect this year [the year when you had to collect 21 stickers was just…tough!] I also bought Belle De Jour for 2009 but I just got tired lugging it around, just too heavy for me. I’m glad Starbucks cut the weight of their planners :)

There’s also one from Coffee Bean but I have to see it yet, though from the photos I’ve seen on Facebook it’s pretty cool. I like the colors - black and purple. *Which reminds me, I still owe myself a Swirl Card!*

Of course I still have to do the bookstore run. I’ve already set my eyes on a Schutzen notebook (not a planner)..so I’m just really more torn now between that and Coffee Bean’s.

I remember saying “Pag tinusok mo ko ng karayom, kape na lalabas hindi dugo!” because we find excuses for ourselves (or our friends) to go buy Starbucks. An officemate of mine related that the sticker is the best pick-up line for that hot chic or cute guy ahead of/behind you in line: give him/her your share of the sticker! THEN follow up with your name haha! (I don’t know if he really does it, though)

For those still bent on the Starbucks 2011 Planner, good luck on your quest!

Bottoms up! Happy holidays!
